Clothing & Things

We asked AI for bad ideas and somehow ended up with a studio. These are a few things we'd like to wear while we make the next one. Some are about AI, and some are just shirts we like. None of them are for sale yet.

A woman with short curly hair in a black tee printed: I asked AI for bad ideas. This shirt was one of them.
No. 01 · Bad ideas tee
The bad ideas tee, black, hanging on a wooden hanger against a sunlit wall.
The front print as flat artwork: I asked AI for bad ideas, with BAD in a cobalt tab, then: This shirt was one of them, and a red arrow pointing down.
Our artwork
A canvas tote with the same joke, where the word shirt is crossed out in red and corrected to bag.

I asked AI for bad ideas.

Really Bad Studio started when Corey asked an AI for really bad ideas instead of good ones. One of them became a game called Impossidle, and the whole thing made him laugh enough to name a studio after it.

So this is the shirt that admits it.

The front print as flat artwork.

The print

This shirt was one of them.

Big condensed type, the BAD tab taken straight from our logo, and one red arrow pointing at the shirt you're wearing. Warm white, cobalt and a little red, on a heavy black tee.

No. 08 · The tote

This shirt bag was one of them.

Same joke on a canvas tote, corrected in red pen, because it's a bag. We liked that the fix shows. It's how most of our ideas look before they're finished.

I have questions about AI too.

We use AI in a lot of what we make, and we still have questions about it. We're guessing you do too. The front of this one says it quietly, in small type on the chest. The back opens a window with two buttons, and neither of them is the wrong answer.

Where we’ve landed for now: how we use AI.

It's the print on the back, and the buttons work. Try them.

Seen from behind, a person in a natural tee with the questions window printed across the back, facing an adobe wall.
The back
A smiling man with a silver beard in a workshop, wearing the natural tee with a small left chest print.
The front
The questions tee laid flat on concrete, back side up.

Ask me what I made with AI.

For when you've made something you're proud of and you'd like someone to ask about it. If they're shy, there's a QR code on the shirt. For now it goes to our homepage, so you can try it from your phone right here.

Or just scan this.

It's easier than me explaining it.

A young man with locs on a sunny Phoenix sidewalk, in a black tee printed: Ask me what I made with AI, with a QR code.
The ask me tee laid flat on cobalt blue paper.

And a few things.

The quieter pieces. Most of them are just the studio.

  1. A woman with long braids on a stool in a white studio, wearing the black work cap and the studio uniform tee.

    No. 05

    Studio uniform

Our logo, stacked, on a black tee. The plainest thing here, and maybe the one we'd wear the most.

  2. A person with a shaved head sitting on a concrete wall at sunset in a bone hoodie printed: This started as a very bad idea, with very crossed out and really written above it.

    No. 06

    Origin hoodie

“This started as a very bad idea.” We fixed one word, in red.

  3. A black six-panel cap with the RBS tab embroidered on the front.

    No. 07

    Work cap

The RBS tab, embroidered on a soft black cap. That's the whole idea.

  4. An older man in a denim overshirt holding the canvas bad ideas tote.

    No. 08

    Bad ideas tote

The shirt's joke, corrected for a bag. Heavy natural canvas.

  5. A laptop lid on an oak desk covered in RBS stickers: the RBS tab, Work in progress, Me too, and I kept the weird part.

    No. 09

    Sticker sheet

For laptops, notebooks and anything that isn't finished yet. There's a blank line on one for your own note.

How we made these

The photos on this page were made with AI, and the people in them aren't real. Everything printed on the clothes is our own artwork: real type and a real QR code, drawn in code and laid onto the photos, so what you see is what would actually print. Here are the flats.

None of this is for sale, and there's nothing to sign up for. If you'd wear one of these, we'd honestly love to know which. studio@reallybadstudio.com
